On Monday afternoon, February 20th, 2023 the city of Hallowell, the State of Maine, and the world lost a great man, Dan Davis. Dan's family and a huge group of friends lost a beautiful soul, a renaissance man, a husband, a Pops, a son, a brother, a creator of fine spirits, a harbormaster, a best friend, and a person who brought such light, creativity, and wisdom to this world that we will all forever be better for knowing him.

Dan also leaves behind the love of his life, Kara and their son Devin, who called him "Pops." Kara and Devin are devastated beyond words by his sudden loss. Because Dan's death was so sudden and unexpected we have set up a memorial fund to allow Dan's community to help send their support to Kara as she figures out how to navigate life after Dan's death. These funds will help pay for his funeral and services and any other expenses Kara will need moving forward without him.
