Dan (Danny) Smith Stroke Recovery Fund.

Dan (Danny) Smith is one of the most caring individuals I have ever met. He is the one person you can count upon if you are in need of help. The guy who would do anything to help his friends or family. Moreover, Danny gives of himself freely. Expecting nothing more than a hug or a handshake.
Unfortunately, Danny is in desperate need of some assistance. As he suffered an ischemic stroke at home on Monday, April 08, 2024.
Danny was transported to Anderson Hospital in Maryville Illinois, and subsequently airlifted to St. Louis University Hospital for an emergency thrombectomy, (clot removal).
Doctors were able to successfully remove the blood clot. Unfortunately, Danny did not emerge from the surgery unscathed. He is currently struggling with left Hemiplegia, paralysis of the left side of the body. The permanence of this condition is unknown.
On the bright side, Danny is still able to recognize friends and family, speak clearly, and carry on a conversation. He is also committed to being an active participant in his recovery.
Speaking of recovery; Danny could really use your financial assistance. It might take him weeks, months, or even years to recover. As with many life changing events, recovery sometimes involves accepting a new normal. A new normal that may impair his ability to return to work. Not to mention the medical bills associated with a personal health emergency.
As such, we are hoping to raise $15,000 to help Danny on his journey to recovery.
