Hi guys as some already know my names Daniel and I’ve got some crazy news to share… In august , I went up to Brisbane to do some testing with the Australian bobsleigh team. I managed to hit the criteria they were looking for, but I kept it quiet as I didn’t want to get ahead of myself.

A week later, I got the message of a lifetime — an invitation to head over to the US and Canada this winter season to join one of the teams as they push for Olympic qualification for Italy 2026.

This hasn’t been an easy decision. It means stepping away from work and making sacrifices in my relationship to chase this dream — but I know it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and one I don’t want to look back on with regret.

Because bobsledding isn’t a high-profile sport in Australia, funding is extremely limited.
