We, as a team, were deeply saddened by the news that Dan died on Friday 10th October. He was a remarkably kind person who was always ready to get into conversations about TV shows and film recommendations, fishing, technology, photography and football, especially his beloved Liverpool FC! You only had to hear his unique laugh and you couldn’t help but smile, he was one of the most authentic people I’ve known, no agendas, just a genuinely great person.

His presence in the office was sorely missed when he fell ill back in April last year and his treatment meant he was off work for 15 months. He’d been going through a phased return to work from home since June this year with the hope that he’d be able to come into our office to visit us soon – news of his death has been devastating to his teammates and sent shockwaves throughout our service affecting all who knew and worked with him. He’ll forever have a place in our hearts and I will be forever grateful to have known him.

We'd already taken a card and flowers from the team to Dan's family on the day we heard the news but would like to give everyone an opportunity to donate to his family and share messages on a virtual card which we'll print and deliver along with proceeds from this fundraiser
