During a CT scan for a Crohn's disease study participation evaluation, numerous "masses" were found in my lungs, adrenal glands and lymph nodes. It is suspected as being metastatic cancer. Since I just started a new job, I won't have health insurance until March 1. Since my income is above poverty level, I am ineligible for financial assistance. The hospital portion of the surgery is $5000. The doctors fee will be in addition to that. The hospital will not schedule the surgery without a $2500 down payment. I can finance the remainder of the procedure costs. My oncologist told me that I can't wait until my insurance kicks in. So i'm stuck. I really hate having to ask friends and family for money but I'm out of options. Anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated. Love to all of you,
