Dan Burks

My dad Dan was an amazing father, and grandfather and a hardworking man. My siblings and I could always count on him when we needed him and he helped many other along the way as well. The hole he is leaving in our family will be enormous. I still need my dad just as much as I did at 5 years old. He is my hero. He loved fast cars, drinking beer, listening to country music and taking rides in his jeep, later his electric bike. He loved a good adventure. He cherished his family very dearly which is part of the reason he has struggled so bad this last year since he lost his mother and then shortly after his father too. Depression is sometimes unexplainable and we have been left with a lot of questions too. Check on your loved ones even if they say they are okay. He was the strongest man I knew but that strength stood no chance against his pain. My siblings and I have been left to arrange a service and cremation as well as get vet care for his elderly cat. He is not doing well and needs medical attention. Anything would help and we are grateful for any love and kindness words as well.
