Dan Bull’s medical disaster

Hi,my name is Alycia Bull my step dad has struggled with a hip replacement for 3 years. This hip replacement turned into a bad infection in the bone which we have tried to resolve with 8 surgeries in the last 3 years. The infection has never gone away and on Thursday the 20th it has all gone down hill. During this 8th surgery to remove this infection that has caused leaking in and out of his leg and many parts of the bone and muscle to be destroyed. His body started to give up on him. His blood pressure dropped drastically while in surgery causing him to lose a lot of blood. Since his blood pressure dropped so low it cause many of his organs to give up and are now in really bad condition. He had to be resuscitated twice on the table. He thankfully made it through the surgery but had to go to the SICU. While he was in the SICU he started to complain of pain in his stomach. Progressively through the day it started to get worse until he couldn’t even be touched without being in pain. They took him for an X-Ray and 2 CT scans. These scans showed that a portion of the colon had died causing a emergency life changing surgery. Now we are here he is in the SICU unable to breathe on his own and we don’t know how long until he can. Dan will have to stay in the hospital for awhile and won’t be able to walk/put full weight on his leg for at least 6 months. He is unable to work and do the things he loves most like simply taking his dogs for a walk. I made this go fund me in hopes that we can help raise money for hospital bills and anything else Dan might need in the future.
