Dan Best will live on forever in our minds, our hearts and our soul! Was he fun to be around or what? He had a special gift of connecting with people in the most loving of ways. Dan was smart, energetic and thoughtful. He was genuine to everyone he encountered, whether it was the CEO, the mail room clerk, or a stranger on the street. One of his most special qualities was that he was giving. He gave his heart to his family, his friends and his work.
Dan finished his career by serving his country as Senior Advisor to the Secretary for Drug Pricing Reform at the US Department of Health & Human Services. He was a loving husband, a passionate dad, and a great friend. He was also a much-loved and well-respected colleague to many in the pharmaceutical, health plan, PBM, and health policy communities.
Dan left us all too soon. His friends set up this page because many people who love him insisted on “doing something” for his family. Therefore the "Dan Best Memorial Fund" was created to honor of his legacy and will help to support Lisa, Jake, Nick and Matt in the untimely passing of their husband and dad.
Your donation will:
- Help ensure the family can manage the challenge of their husband and dad's untimely passing
- Afford those of us who knew and loved him the opportunity to give back in his memory
-Honor Dan's legacy by helping to fund a Bay Village High School Scholarship in his name.
Any donation is greatly appreciated and will be put to great use. The fund is being administered by two of Dan's long time friends, Tom Gergye and Ed Bambino who have established the account in the family's name and 100% of the proceeds will be distributed to them.
If you are not in a position to donate, no worries. Say a prayer, think of one of your stories about Dan, and smile while you take a minute to share it with someone. You know Dan was about joy and laughter! Was he fun to be around or what?
Dan Best was a very special person and touched us all in a way that he will keep giving to us forever! Thank you so much Dan! We love you!
