Lois Holbrook Memorial Fund

On Tuesday, March 5th my Mom and Stepdad found out they had to be out of their home by the end of the month. They went out to start looking for a new place and were involved in a horrific car crash where they were struck by a tractor trailer. My Stepdad is battered and bruised with staples in his head and in a lot of pain. He is home alone trying to pack while he is recovering. After emergency surgery, my mom has been fighting for her life in intensive care, and is expected to remain in an in-patient environment at least through mid April. They have no car, are losing their home, and are financially devastated. Any little bit will help to reduce the stress and pressure on my Mom and Stepdad so they can concentrate on healing without worrying about their housing, transportation and finances. Thank You.

Tuesday March 12th. It is with great sadness that we must announce that Lois succumbed to her injuries this afternoon while surrounded by family and friends. The family is so appreciative of all your generous donations. Not only is Dan still facing a housing and transportation crisis, but now he also has to deal with funeral expenses. Thanks again to everyone who has donated, every little bit helps to relieve Dan's burden and stress.

Please save the date for a memorial and celebration of the life of Lois Holbrook.

Don’t put away your green - it will be an Irish theme!

Lois loved St. Patrick’s Day, so we will be honoring her and her favorite holiday.  As mom would say "Erin' Go Braless!"

If you would be able to the family is asking if people could bring a covered dish. Soft drinks and water will be provided. Cash bar is also available. There will be music (Elvis, of course!) and an opportunity to say a few words to everyone about your favorite memory of Lois.

We will also have pictures boards of Lois throughout the years and if there are any you want to share please contact one of her children and send them, you will get them back, this way we can add a copy to the memory board as well as a memory book that we will be making.

We can’t wait to see everyone and to share our favorite memories and stories about Mom; Lois: a sweet and hilarious woman, a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and a one-of-a-kind friend.

I love you, Mom. And I will miss you forever. Love, Your "Dawnie Wawnie Rooka Nawnie" <3
