It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved son, brother and grandson, Dan Alexandru "Andu" Popescu who passed away on March 5, 2025 at the age of 36. Loving and cherished son to Manuela and Claudiu. Beloved brother and best friend and mentor to Sebastian. Caring first grandson to Bunica Tia. He will forever be missed by his Aunts, Uncles, and his many friends who loved him dearly.

Andu was an incredible son. Andu went to Trent University in Peterborough, where he studied Astro Physics and graduated with honours. He was also an Assistant to his Physics Professor. Andu had a brilliant mind, he was a dreamer, and his one true dream was to fly to the stars. We know he is flying amongst the stars looking over at us.

A visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7234) on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 2:00 - 5:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00pm. Prayers at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue at St. Georges Romanian Orthodox Cathedral on Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 11:00am till the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00pm.
