If you know my brother David and his wife Dina Pedroza, you know that they are the most well respected and kind people you will ever meet; they always give their hearts to those in need and are a blessing to those they meet.

Here’s a quick story of their situation at hand. They are hardworking and have been self-employed for several years; this is their only source of income. When one of them falls ill it impacts their household, they have to switch on who handles their cleaning business when one of them cannot work. They both have had their share of illness and hospital stays individually. Dina is a breast cancer survivor and continues to get treatments for this, so her immune system is compromised and she ends up with Valley Fever having to take medications daily for this as well. David has had his share of health issues which have taken a toll on him as well. This impacts their ability to keep their business going and to make ends meet. This I know is a big concern when they have to go to the doctor for any medical treatments.
Reason for this request is that we as family and friends know that Dina’s mother recently passed away to the Covid-19 on May 27, 2020. They have not had time to mourn for her mother when both Dina and David became ill with flu like symptoms.
On June 1, 2020 David calls and says that both he and Dina were going to the hospital to be checked out and would let family know if they have to be admitted. Fast forward to today, since we are not able to visit them or be near them due to the pandemic, we now know that they both were admitted in adjoining rooms and both were tested positive for the Covid-19 and as a precaution they are being treated for their breathing issues. Their oxygen levels are going up and down. We request prayer as well to keep them strong to fight through this.
The quarantine could last up to 14 days; with the both of them being admitted the hospital stay and medications they need to survive does impact their financial needs to pay their rent and medical bills. They have no medical insurance to cover costs. Once release from the hospital, it could take up to 4 weeks afterwards for them to be strong enough to resume to returning to work. They were not able to file for any pandemic relief.
So, we as family are asking if you are able to help in any way, even just a few dollars, it would mean the world to both David and Dina. We know how stressful this can be on them. Please keep them in prayer and for others that are going through the Covid-19.
Thank you. Thank you. Sincerely, from the bottom of our hearts.
