Damon’s Emergency Surgery Help

It’s always hard being 2,376 miles from family, but especially when you get a phone call that your brother is in the hospital. My oldest brother Damon has been in the hospital for almost a week now and underwent emergency surgery today for diverticulitis. Diverticulitis is where small pouches develop in the lining of the digestive system for a number of reasons. However, the pouches can become inflamed or infected, and in my brothers case, the infection resulted in emergency surgery, removing part of his colon and intestines.

For 8 or more weeks, Damon will be out of commission at work, and will struggle to afford the medical bills from the surgery he desperately needed. He has a wonderful wife and three darling boys that need him back in fighting shape as soon as possible!

We feel extremely blessed and grateful as a family for the thoughts and prayers from everyone during this time, and hope the healing process is quick, and painless as possible. Any contribution is greatly appreciated during this tough time.
