Terah "Damon" Owens (affectionately known as Uncle Go Go by his nieces and nephew), 47, has left us way to soon. Damon was a good friend, dedicated uncle, loving brother and father. In his prime, he was the life of the party, often the center of attention (without even trying) and he had an uncanny ability to make others laugh. He had an entrepreneurial spirit, building businesses from the ground floor and leveraging the internet long before search optimization was a thing. Damon had a heart for people; often caring for other's needs before his own.
Damon was charming, vivacious and had a magnetic personalty. He had a dream to be known and loved for the life he created. His mom called him "a giver," full of energy, creative, curious and adventurous. Damon had a "PHD" in street smarts.
Damon passed on August 23rd at a hospital in Vegas. The cause of death is still under investigation, but Damon was seeking help, trying to get better, to be better. He will not be known for how he left this world but for the love he gave to those he encountered, the laughs he generated, the children he created and memories that were created.
Damon loved his family, children, niece and nephew with his whole heart. They were his pride and joy and any time he was able to spend was filled with fun!!!
Rest peacefully, Damon. You are finally free of your sadness and demons. We hope you now know that you were and are so loved. You could light up any room and make everyone in it laugh and smile.
All proceeds will be used to support bringing Damon home from Vegas, laying him to rest with his Mother in Palm Springs, and bringing friends and family together to honor and celebrate his life. Any additional monies will be held in trust to be given to Damon's children: Damon Jr. (17) and Aspen (11) under the dispensation from Damon's sister Shiloh.
He is survived by his children listed above; sister Shiloh, 4 half sisters Hailey, Hazel, Melissa, and Freida; his nieces, Summer and Lyla, nephew Gannon; and many many friends.
We appreciate any funds that can be dedicated to these needs.
With love and gratitude!!
