This past Monday, November 14th, there was a tragic car accident involving the wedding party I was with to celebrate my cousin's wedding in Jamaica.
While stopped, Damion, our driver, was struck as he tried to save Chris, - very close friend of the bride and groom, from being hit by an oncoming vehicle. Two amazing men died as a result of this car accident - both of them were fathers, and both in their early 30's.
Chris is blessed with much love and support through the help of another gofundmepage where they are so close to achieving his goal to help cover his expenses.
I want to ensure that help is also given to Damion who literally died a selfless hero. Damion's family in Jamaica needs money to cover the funeral, and they want to be able to bring his 7 year old daughter home from the United States to be able to lay her father to rest.
His beautiful sister had to help try and save his life as she is a nurse at Cornwall Hospital in Montego Bay. I met her as well as their father that night as they waited in hopes he could be saved. If I can do anything to bring any sort of help to this wonderful family who just experienced so much pain, it would be this. I ask you from the bottom of my heart to give anything you can - even the smallest bit.
