Hello all my name is Damien Javier Lopez I’m 22 years old, I worked as a Field Technician fixing Home Depot Garden Center structures in many different States across the country and absolutely loved everything about it, until beginning June this year while I was working I started having sharp neck pains & headaches, for 1 month and a week slowly day by day my symptoms worsened from weakness & fatigue, not being able to walk straight, couldn’t use my entire right arm correctly, double vision in my right eye, invertigo, & speech deficiency, losing my hearing in my right ear the entire right side of my body was shutting down. By going to the ER Neurologists discovered a golf ball size tumor growing off the right side of my Cerebellum from a MRI Scan. I had no choice but to have a hole drilled into the top of my head for a tube to extract spinal fluid around the tumor for a week so the surgeon could get the most out safely as he could surgery taking 8hrs in total. While a week of recovering from surgery in the hospital the tumor was being tested for cancer. Unfortunately I have been diagnosed with Stage 4 Medulloblastoma a fast growing tumor and will have to undergo 1 Year of combined Chemotherapy & Radiation to hopefully kill the rest left in me. All this coming out of nowhere forcing me to terminate my employment with this huge financial burden. It’s easy to say I will not be able to do things the same, & unsure if I will be able to return to my old job due to my health being a liability from now on. My life having a temporary Hold on it is mentally challenging and physically draining, the hardest part to realize is I can’t do anything about it but Pray to come out the other side at the end of my treatment. I ask for your help with prayers More than anything, any size of donations & contributions made is deeply appreciated from the bottom of my heart and will go to paying all Co-pays for constant treatment visits & Hospital Expenses throughout the year for me.
