Damien's 40th- Becoming a US Citizen

Damien William Gaudet is turning 40 on December 9.  If you know Damien, you know how much he loves his home country of Ireland.  You also know that he has wanted to become a citizen of the United States for as long as he has lived here.  He has met with immigration lawyers.  He has studied the questions. He has taken the practice test.  He would love nothing more than to be able to vote, to have a say in who is calling the shots.  Since we cannot have any type of party for Damien, I thought we could all come together to raise some money for him to finally make this dream come true.  I have been in touch with lawyers to get a general idea of cost.  I have set a $3000 goal, although I am not sure if this will be enough.  If it will be too much.  Either way, it will get him closer to finally being able to become a citizen.  If you would have bought him a beer, had we been able to have a party, consider donating $10.  I will be compiling a list to be able to tell him everyone that contributed.  This may seem like an odd request, but honestly, this is what he wants most of all.  Any money that is collected beyond the cost of his citizenship will be donated to the Uxbridge Food Pantry.  

This is a surprise so please don't mention it to him.  He is not on Facebook, which  certainly makes this easier.  We appreciate any and all donations:)
