Hi, my name is Franca and I'm fundraising to help my friend Damian and his family.

Damian and Andrea came to Australia from Uruguay in February 2020 along with their daughter Josefina. After struggling big time during the pandemic in Melbourne, they established in Sydney, and their second daughter Isabella was born in June 2022.

On Tuesday 10th January 2023, Damian went to Norwest Hospital with severe chest pain. After several studies, doctors arrived at the conclusion that both aorta and valve were severely damaged. There is no other solution than going through a high-risk heart surgery next Wednesday 18th of January at Norwest Hospital.

Damian is a self-employed carpenter without any sort of medical leave. At this point is hard to say how long rehabilitation will take, but for sure would be at least a few months. For him to focus on his health is important to reduce the financial stress they will face during the following months.
