Dame Family House Fire Fund

July 10th at around 7am my father, stepmother and two young nephews awoke to a roaring basement fire. They narrowly escaped in time through the only door and were unable to get back inside due to the extreme heat to get to my stepmother and family dog. My nephew had to smash the front window of the house while my other nephew and a passer by pulled my stepmother out for which she suffered severe burns and smoke in her lungs. One of my nephews was covered in soot and his hair was cinged from trying to go back in the house and help his grandmother. My stepmother is in the hospital currently stable but is going to have a long recovery due to the large amount of smoke she inhaled. My father has lost his entire home of 30 years where he raised his 5 children, all his possessions, his only vehicle, as well as an amazing family dog named Minnie who was unable to escape and died from the smoke. We are asking for donations to cover medical bills, temporary housing, cost of cleanup and building material so that we might be able to rebuild my father a new house. My father has had a rough run over the last 15 years he suffers from severe heart disease after nearly dying from a heart attack and having a pacemaker put in. He also suffers from severe copd and various other medical conditions. We just want to give this man who worked hard his entire life to provide for his 5 children a comfortable place to be to live out his remaining years back on his own property.
