Damario's Fight for Freedom and Justice

Hello, my name is Patrice. On December 17, 2024, Damario was shot twice in the head. He underwent surgery later that evening to have the bullet removed, which was lodged between his scalp and his skull (the other bullet grazed him). He had a small brain bleed and a small skull fracture, but the doctors expect him to make a full recovery.

The next day, after not being able to visit him in the hospital, I learned he was being detained. He is currently being charged with crimes he did not commit. His bond is set at $1,000,000.

Damario is a 17-year-old junior who also plays on the football team at Southaven High School. He is not a bad kid. All this happened while trying to retrieve his stolen phone. He didn’t have any weapons and got shot while running away. I do not want this situation to hurt his future endeavors.
