Junior

Hello, my name is Kimiko Monteto.

On September 26th 2023 my son Damario Jr unexpectedly passed away. Early that Tuesday afternoon we, his parents, laid our son down for a nap, along with his twin sister. When we went to wake them, Mirai woke up but Junior did not. His father, Damario Sr, began life saving efforts and we, as his parents, tried to do everything we could to save him, but unfortunately despite his fathers extensive life saving efforts we were told there was nothing else they could do. At this time we are unaware what the cause of our son’s sudden death is. We are now living every parents worse nightmare. When we found out we were pregnant with the twins, it was the best day of our lives. Even after the twins were born and we found out Junior had Sickle Cell Anemia, we did every thing to attend to him and his medical condition, taking it very seriously. We never missed a doctors appointment, assured he took his medications daily and we looked forward to having a long and happy life with our son and his siblings. Now our hearts are forever shattered. This go fund me will be used for Junior’s funeral, cremation, and memorial services. As well as to assist in support to our other children Hezekiah Monteto (8), Anaya Armstrong (5) & Mirai Armstrong (11months). Our son passed in our home and it is too traumatic to go back there at this time, especially with our other children. The road to healing will be long, strenuous and require so much strength and prosperity. However we know that journey begins with making sure we lay our son to rest beautifully, respectfully, and with love. Our hearts go out to other parents who have lost a child and can understand what we are going through right now. We wouldn’t with a pain this deep on anyone. This is the most devastating loss & difficult experience we could ever imagine. We just ask that everyone keep us, our remaining children & family in your positive thoughts & wishes.
