Friends and family,

This is Daniel from Dallas, TX fundraising on behalf of my family in Houston. As many of you may have heard, Hurricane Beryl recently disrupted the lives of millions of people in Houston, killing several and leaving most without power and costly damages. As a result, the giant oak tree in the backyard of my childhood home in Alief was completely uprooted and crashed into the roof early Monday morning, June 8th. By the grace of God, my mom and the rest of my family are safe.

However, having just spent $10,000 for an emergency plumbing project last month, this expense came as a shock. Anything our family and friends can contribute toward the homeowner's insurance deductible to cover the cost of the tree removal and subsequent repairs, I know they would greatly appreciate it.
