Devastation by Hurricane Otis-Help Stephanie
Donation protected
As many of you know my sister Stephanie Pitschke moved to Acapulco, Mexico over 10 years ago where she settled down with partner Mario, an Acapulco native, and had 3 beautiful boys Mayito, Mateo and Nico. On October 25th, their whole lives were traumatically turned upside down by Category 5 Hurricane Otis. This hurricane was expected to be nothing more than a tropical storm which terrifyingly ramped up overnight to almost 265 km/hrs forcing Stephanie, Mario and their 3 boys to escape their home with nothing but the pajamas on their backs and shelter down in fear for hours and watch while their lives got completely destroyed.
They have lost absolutely everything including every single personal belonging, their documents and passports, their car completely destroyed, their businesses wiped away and all livelihood. They cannot even step foot in their home ever again due to flooding, severe damage and debris. Almost every building and hotel in their district is completely destroyed forever. They boys have no clothes and food, water and gasoline are completely scarce.
We are trying to get them back to Canada and any support at this time would be greatly appreciated. We need help to buy their flights from the nearest large city, Mexico City, as the Acapulco International Airport has been destroyed. They will need legal help trying to come back to Canada without any documents or passports. We also need money to help them rebuild any little parts of their lives we can, help secure them safe shelter and to buy clothes and necessities for their children when they arrive back here in Canada, which we hope is very soon. We have very little information from them as all communication has been cut off due to the destruction and devastation.
Please, to anyone who knows Stephanie, knows she is a bright light, and a lovely soul who desperately needs help at this time and we ask kindly for just that.
