Fight Breast Cancer & Save Daly Pie

There are few things in the world greater than watching someone achieve their dream.
And, unfortunately, there are few things in the world more painful than watching that dream get affected by cancer.
Our dear friend Meghan Daly started her pie business, Daly Pie, in 2011 and everything was moving up. From amazing reviews in the New York Times to features on the Food Network to too many "Best Of" lists to count. Anyone who had her pies became an instant fanatic.
After years of markets, she opened a physical shop in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn and slowly more and more people discovered both her pies and an amazingly kind, brilliant, funny, kick-ass business owner. It became a Cheers type hangout, where not only did she know your name, but she knew your favorite pie and to make sure you saw if it was back on the menu. (Mmmmm Chocolate S'mores)
A few months ago, at only 35, Meghan was diagonosed with breast cancer because cancer is a huge jerk. Like the biggest. It's taken away loved ones, and seriously affected so many others. It kills us that it would affect someone so young, so healthy, and so awesome.
Meghan is about to start six months of chemotherapy. Her health is absolutely a priority and with her illness she won't be able to work as many hours in the shop. Business is tight anywhere in NYC, and if you do the math...well, it's some very sad math. Between added costs of staff, rent at both the shop and her apartment, doctors visits, the business just won't survive the time she needs for treatment not to mention if the business isn't around she won't have any money for food, rent, basic living, or medical supplies.
She worked for years for this dream. Please don't let cancer take it away from her.

$24,000 cost needed to cover extra staffing the six months she's in treatment
So she'll need at least $34,000 to survive the next few months. Anything more than that will help ensure the shop has a buffer when she returns after kicking cancer's butt. Which she totally will.
