Dallas's Miracle and Long Road To Recovery
Dallas Padgett is a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle and friend. On October 22, 2018, his mother received a phone call from Vanderbilt Hospital, a call no parent wants to receive. She was informed that Dallas was involved in a tragic accident resulting in a severe spinal cord injury and two broken vertebrae. After undergoing surgery to fuse the vertebrae, Dallas is still immobilized from the chest down and has little movement in his hands.
After a week in ICU with his parents and family at his side , it has been decided that the best place for Dallas and his recovery is at the Shepherd Center for Spine and Brain Injury in Atlanta, GA. Dallas has been transported to Shepherd where he will receive first class care, therapy and rehabilitation treatments focusing on his specific injury and will be there for the foreseeable future.
Dallas is currently pursuing a career in concrete management at MTSU and has been an athlete his entire life. His passion for sports has motivated him to never give up.
He and his family are looking at months of medical bills, therapy and rehabilitation and medical equipment, as well as many days off work and travel expenses to and from Atlanta. While all of these things are worth it for Dallas to fully recover and be back to himself, the family's burdens would be greatly lessened without the added strain of huge bills and additional debt.
Your prayers are felt and deeply appreciated. They are so grateful for the love and thoughts that everyone has sent! There is no way to repay the kindness they have been shown.
