Emergency fund for Kiara Medina

Hi friends - on Sunday, June 9th, 2019 a severe storm hit Dallas quickly with winds 70+ mph causing a crane to come crashing down into the Elan City Lights apartment building leaving 1 person dead and several others critically injured.
My friend Kiara lives in this building with her boyfriend Ron and their dog Ollie. Fortunately, they were not in the building when this happened, but they cannot return to their apartment and their cars are trapped indefinitely inside the parking garage. No idea if they are damaged or will be able to check on them anytime soon.
The complex is providing a hotel for them until Friday, and then they are on their own. They were informed today that they will not be able to reoccupy the building. They now have to look for a new place to live ASAP with no vehicles and no idea when they might be able to get any belongings out of their apartment. They also don't have any family in Texas to help out during this time.
The costs associated with further hotel stays and car rentals (or endless Uber rides to and from work), along with deposits and pet fees for moving into a new apartment will add up very quickly. I set up this page to help support them with these costs during this stressful time of being homeless and without vehicles. Any amount big or small will help with this unanticipated burden and is very much appreciated!
