Hello all, My name is Courtney Howell as you all may have heard by now my BEST friend Dalicia suddenly had a stroke on 6/11/2021 that has left her with a non-functioning left side. After almost a week in the hospital doctors have finally diagnosed her. Since receiving a diagnosis, now the primary goal is AGGRESSIVE rehabilitation. However, the only places her insurance will cover are nursing homes. We cannot allow Dalicia who is only 36 years old to go into a nursing home, so I am asking you all for help! Encompass rehabilitation has been nice enough to offer 10 days of rehabilitation for free but the doctor is estimating that Dalicia will need at least 6 weeks of rehabilitation. The average cost of a weeks stay in rehab is $8,400-$10,500 on top of the costs to keep her and her family’s life going. If I know my friend, and I do...
