Hey Y'all! Asking for help is hard. However, as Glennon Doyle says, "We can do hard things." So here we are, asking for help for our Queen Dali. She broke part of her leg and had to be rushed to Auburn. The following update from Kara is what drove me to reach out to our incredible community. "She has a nasty fracture above her joint. They did a radiograph and then they set the bone with a cast and then they did another radiograph to make sure all of it lined up properly. One side was perfectly aligned and the other side was not. Dali is in surgery now with an equine surgeon. They will align the bones precisely, place external pins, and then cast the whole thing. It will be a 6-8 week recovery and she will not get to roam willy nilly. She is going to hate this. I have found a homeopathic remedy in comfrey. It has been used for years and used to be called "boneknit." I need to figure out the dosage to use as a supplement." As of 5:46 PM, she is still in surgery. We are setting the goal at $5,000 because that's what the surgery will cost. Feel free to go above & beyond that goal! Thank you so very much for anything you can give.
