We are the new Climate Change Club at the Daley Middle School in Lowell, MA. We’re a group of sixth graders (and one honorary 8th grader), working together to learn about and stop climate change and hopefully inspire other people to help.
For our first big project, we want to put solar panels on our school to make our classroom (shown below) solar powered. As you can see, currently we only have very small solar powered camping lights, which are not very strong.
We're working with a local solar electrician on this project who cares as much about climate change as we do. We need to raise $10,000 which will allow us to install a customized 1000W system. This is just the beginning. Eventually, we want our entire school to be solar powered, and we want to show other schools how easy it is to be sustainable. And we need your help.

More About Our Club:
A few months ago, our club was small. Now, there are over 40 members because we created a powerpoint presentation to show other students what we're doing and get them involved.
Already we've done a lot. We meet every Thursday to discuss our goals and make plans. We wrote, directed, filmed, and edited the video above (enjoy!). We've created a logo, and we're currently working on our website: www.climatechangeclub.org.
Updates:
Over 20 Climate Change Club students came to the Lowell Folk Fest on Saturday and Sunday. We set up a pedal powered electric generator and talked to people about sustainability and our solar powered classroom project. Over 2 days, we raised $271!
