My name is Leann, and I am a long time family friend of Dale! I grew up with him and his little sister is my best friend. This family is more than the definition of friend, they ARE my family. I spent many nights with them listening to Dale play the drums, guitars, or just jam in the basement with his buddies. Dale lived a hard life, but that never ever stopped him from giving himself so freely to others and loving with his whole self. His creative mind and free spirit left a mark in the world and in many’s hearts.

A few weeks ago, Dale became extremely ill with COVID and was hospitalized. However, he soon recovered and was released. Soon after he fell ill again and was again hospitalized with MRSA in his lungs, pneumonia, a blood infection, bacterial infection, and a viral infection. Doctors soon sedated him and intubated him to do pain and his collapsed lungs. During this, his little sisterEmmalee, struggled to find the financial means to come as soon as possible and be with him as doctors said Dale was not going to make it. Mama Patti (his sweet mother) and his brother, and dear friend Allison were by his bedside when his heart gave out and he passed. Emmalee didn’t get to say goodbye, and neither did many of his other loved ones including his young son, Atlas.

Unfortunately, Dale didn’t have legal documents designating who is responsible for him medically & who is responsible for his funeral. This made legal means more difficult for his family who want to gain closure and give Dale a beautiful funeral and memorial. Due to this and the financial strain, services have not yet been set and dates will be determined once the legalities are met.

All donations will go towards his family to help with travel costs for his sister Emmalee to be with her family to grieve her big brother, and will help with funeral expenses such as burial, body prep, mortician expenses, casket, memorial, flowers, etc.
