Dale's Kidney Journey

Hello, dear friends, family and supporters,

We are reaching out to you today as Kayla has made the courageous decision to donate one of her kidneys to her father, Dale, who has been on dialysis for one year. We are now on a mission to raise the funds needed to make this life-saving kidney transplant a reality. The transplant will take place in November at UW Health. Dale’s sister, Christi, will be his primary caregiver during his recovery.

Dale's Journey:

Since birth, Dale has been living with one kidney and since high school, a damaged kidney. He has been living with stage four kidney disease for two years, a condition that has left him dependent on dialysis to filter his blood and remove waste. The toll it has taken on his health has been devastating.

Kayla's Selfless Decision:

Our story takes a remarkable turn when Kayla, Dale's daughter, learned that she was a compatible match to be her father's kidney donor. Without hesitation, Kayla stepped up to be a living donor, an act of love that is nothing short of heroic.

The Financial Burden:

While the gift of life is immeasurable, the cost of a kidney transplant is substantial. Medical bills, pre-operative and post-operative care, medications, and transportation expenses have become an overwhelming burden for our family. We are doing everything we can to cover these costs, but we need your help to bridge the gap.

Our Request:

We are asking for your support to help us secure the funds needed for Dale's kidney transplant and the associated expenses. Every contribution, regardless of its size, brings us one step closer to saving Dale's life and giving him the chance to enjoy a healthy, fulfilling future.

1) Donate: Your financial support, no matter the amount, will make a world of difference. Every dollar will go directly toward Dale's medical expenses. A bank account will be set up in Madison at a later date for Dale’s caregiver to access during recovery if you prefer to donate directly.
