Dale Solberg Covid Recovery Fund

Donation protected
My name is Helen and I am Dale Solberg's big sister (by only two years!)  You may know he has been stricken with a serious case of Covid 19 and has been in the ICU at a St. Paul hospital for some time now.

I have chosen to head a gofundme team on his behalf because I know he will have tremendous  financial needs in his battle against Covid 19.  Dale would of course be shocked and tell me he will get by some way.  Any of you who are even slightly acquainted with him know that he always puts everybody else and their needs in front of his own.  But he is in no condition to object right now and I am the big sister after all so I get the final word this time!

Dale received a positive diagnosis of Covid 19 on November 20.  Shortly after his diagnosis he had to go to the emergency room and was admitted to ICU.   He was quickly intubated and put on a ventilator and then transferred to the Covid unit hospital.  He has been sedated and on the ventilator since November 25.  There is no way to know how long this will go on.  We are expecting that after we get through this phase, he will need time in a rehabilitation facility.

Dale has been serving at two Presbyterian Homes facilities, one in Andover and the other in Cambridge, Minnesota.  He has been looking forward to lessening his workload and moving to part-time status.  The formal transition date was to be December 5, continuing his work at GracePointe Crossing in Cambridge and serving a partial day at another Presbyterian Homes facility in Monticello.

He has been planning finances very carefully in anticipation of partial retirement.  His insurance coverage has changed as part of this transition.  This event has altered many plans and created unanswered questions concerning ongoing expenses, time required for rehabilitation and when he will be able to go back to work.

Of course, we believe prayer is of utmost importance and ask you to join us.  We are praying that Dale will recover and be able to return to work as soon as possible.  He has always wanted to be a chaplain and he is in his dream job.

Most of you who are receiving this information may have benefited from Dale's kindness or generosity to you in some way.  Please take a moment to consider giving back to him during these difficult circumstances.
