For sixteen years, Dale Sangalang has been the sole provider of a family of five. He worked two jobs, one of which requires grueling physical endurance in 100+ degree heat. During this period, he has had to make constant sacrifices while taking care of his wife, who has also struggled with her health after a kidney transplant. He has two daughters, one of which is in nursing school and the other is in high school. He also supports his nephew and mother-in-law.
Unfortunately, Dale was diagnosed in May of ‘19 with stage three rectal cancer. He underwent a colon resection in June, where a large mass was removed. The surgery went well but they did find cancer in his lymph nodes as well. Dale will now go through six months of chemotherapy and radiation, while still trying to maintain the household and financial needs. He continues to work, but his work conditions are difficult, especially with chemo. As his family, we ask for a little help in covering his medical bills.
