In Loving Memory of Daksh Punia: Support for His Family

Donation protected
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Daksh Punia on Friday, February 28th. Daksh was a devoted husband to his wife, Julianne, and a loving father to their daughter, Cyra. He was a cherished son to Nirmal Deswal and Jaibir Punia, a caring brother to his sister, Diksha, and a loyal friend to many within the community.

Daksh’s journey began in 1997 when he moved to the United States from India with his mother and younger sister, Diksha. In 2016, fate brought him to his wife, Julianne, during a rock climbing trip to Shuteye Mountain. Their love quickly grew, and in September of 2020, they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Cyra, into the world. In September 2024, they were overjoyed to learn they are expecting their second child this May.

Daksh lived his life with unwavering passion and purpose. Whether it was his role as a husband and father, his career as a Structural Engineer, his love for tennis, or his dedication to meditation — Daksh gave his whole heart to everything he did. He was a valued member of the Clovis Tennis Club’s Board of Directors, where he volunteered countless hours to make tennis more accessible and affordable for the Fresno/Clovis community. His generosity of spirit, kindness, and warmth touched everyone he met.

Daksh's absence leaves an indescribable void in the lives of his family and loved ones. His hugs, his smile, and his infectious laugh will be profoundly missed — but his love, strength, and character will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
As Julianne now faces the unimaginable journey of raising their children without Daksh, we humbly ask for your support. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help alleviate the financial burden during this difficult time — allowing Julianne to focus on caring for Cyra and their unborn child while navigating this tremendous loss.

On behalf of Daksh’s family, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, compassion, and generosity. Your support means more than words can express.
