Dakota is a bright, bubbly and beautiful 7-year-old girl with the biggest smile and the kindest heart.
She has recently undergone major brain surgery to remove two tumours. Sadly, we have since found out that both tumours were cancerous.
Dakota now faces a long and incredibly tough journey ahead, including six weeks of daily radiotherapy followed by chemotherapy.
All of this treatment is taking place in Manchester, while Dakota and her family live in Hull.
This means either daily long-distance travel or having to stay away from home for weeks at a time.
On top of the emotional strain, this brings huge financial pressure.
Dakota’s mum is self-employed and will need to take significant time off work to be by her side throughout treatment, meaning a loss of income during an already overwhelming time.
We are raising funds to help support the family with travel, accommodation, and living costs, so they can focus on what really matters: Dakota’s recovery, comfort, and wellbeing.
Any support, no matter how small, will make a real difference and means more than we can ever put into words.
