Hi, everyone. My name is Daisy Mendoza. I’m doing this GoFundMe account for my medical expenses. I’ve been dealing with colon cancer since 2022. I got my first surgery for my colon in 2024. I was doing fine, but then in March 2025, I got very sick while I was working for my kids because my husband had gotten deported to Mexico. I found out my cancer came back, so I needed a second surgery where they removed my large intestine, and now I’ve been having an ileostomy bag for a year already. My doctor wants to do another surgery so I could remove my ileostomy bag so they could connect my small intestine.

But on May 14, 2026, I got sick and went to the ER because one of my kidneys was hurting. They did blood work, and everything was fine, but the doctor said I have an infection in my kidney. So they gave me medication for 7 days. Also, they ordered me to get a CT scan, and supposedly I have some small masses in my spleen and liver. Now I have to go see my oncology doctor to see if he wants to do more tests on me or to get an MRI. Maybe I’m going to need to do chemotherapy. I’m scared because it will be my first time doing chemotherapy, but I have faith in God that he will help me get through this. Also, I have my 5 children that need me. Later on, they will tell me if I will be having my third surgery to remove my ileostomy bag.
