Daisy's Courageous Fight Needs You

The newest member of our staff, Daisy Trujillo, is no stranger to Global Gardens! She literally grew up on the ranch in Los Alamos where we planted our first 2,000 olive trees! Daisy's mom, Lorenza, has worked for us for over 20 years, and all Daisy's sisters have worked for us too (Jazmin still does!). Daisy has been with us just a few months now after moving "home" to the Santa Ynez Valley from Washington State. She has recently been diagnosed for the second time with throat cancer, is a non-smoker, and takes perfect care of herself.

This is her second treatment cycle as she went through this a few years ago. She loves her doctor and is ready for success. But her new radiation treatments require her to be completely isolated in an AirBnB in Santa Barbara for two weeks. She even needs to dump the sheets, towels and any utensils she uses while in complete isolation. She cannot see her family or friends. Luckily, she has a friend who owns an AirBnB in Santa Barbara and is able to give her a reduced rate. Still, insurance does NOT cover her two weeks off work, the rental costs, nor expenses she will incur. Daisy is a single mom, so her family will take care of the kids while she goes through this, and Global Gardens will do everything we can to be supportive. ANY amount will help Daisy receive much-needed funds to help her get through this scary time. Nobody should have to go through this, but we all know, sometimes there isn't a "why"... we just all have to be positive and help her as much as we can to get through this!
