Daisy to Uganda
Donation protected
The awesome Daisy Munns is committed to a school trip next Summer to Uganda. Much of this month long adventure will be carrying out charity work, living alongside Ugandan orphans, building schools and housing, repairing and decorating existing buildings, digging new toilets and water sources.
When we agreed that she should go, both Ben and I were working. That is no longer the case. If you follow Ben on fb you'll see why. Until the covid lockdown started, Daisy was going around the village doing cleaning and odd jobs - that had to come to an end. We have several events planned that we can't do until restrictions are further lifted. Needless to say, we have fallen behind in our instalments.
If you don't know Daisy, let me tell you that she is the most caring young person you could imagine. Last November she donated her hair to a charity that makes wigs for children with cancer. She was bereft at the loss of her grandma two years earlier and wanted to do something for youngsters who were suffering.
I have been thinking about creating this sort of page for a while but have been holding off for two reasons. 1) Our luck surely had to change, and 2) I fear the judgement of what feels like begging. So, believe me, this is a last resort.
Here goes: should you feel you could bung a few quid our way, you would be taking the pressure off in an enormous way. It would help us to get back on track whilst we get our events in place.
Thank you, friends.
