Daisy Rae my sons fur baby

My name is Tammy. I am raising funds for my grand pup Daisy. She is a 2 year and 9 month old Rottweiler. She is recovering from an ACL surgery and she is not allowed to run for three months. She is supposed to be taken out for bathroom breaks on a leash so she doesn’t run she is supposed to walk only! They live here with me and she is in my care during the day. I walk with a walker and I cannot walk with her safely. So I have a 15 foot cable attached to my garage that I will put her on when she has to go to the bathroom and I go outside with her. Yesterday afternoon she had to go out so I put her on the cable. Before I was able to get out there she saw something and attempted to run toward it. When the cable ran out and pulled her back the position that her leg was in and the stopping of her momentum ended up being a perfect storm! ! I was on my way out to her and all I heard was her crying in pain! One loud cry then nonstop crying until I was able to get to her. She had her leg pulled all the way up high like a flamingo. So I was thinking she may have re-tore her ACL. I was able to get her into the kitchen. I immediately sat down on the kitchen floor with her both of us crying. Every time she attempted to straighten her leg It just shook. The guilt I feel is overwhelming!!! I immediately iced her leg. This happened on my watch, and my heart just breaks that because I can’t take her out like she is supposed to be out, this has happened to her!! My son had to carry her up the flight of stairs to go to bed since she could not go up on her own. Her leg started to swell between the ankle and the knee and I was afraid it was something more than a re-ACL tear. The x-ray at the vet today unfortunately proved my instincts correct… she has a spiral break on her tibia. To me, it looks shattered! The vet told us it was an absolute fluke the position that her leg was in at he time the leash pulled her back that this even had the chance to break like it did. There are a small number of surgeons that even do this surgery. We were given names of four that may be able to do it. Calling tomorrow morning and praying there’s one close that will do it! She is thankfully on pain meds and sedatives now. The vet that took the x-ray said it could cost anywhere from $2000-$30,000!! Unfortunately I don’t have that kind of resources to pay for the whole surgery. My son is in year two of an apprenticeship and paying for the ACL surgery that she had last month. So I feel like the only real help I can offer besides prayers for our sweet Daisy is to ask for help from family and friends and strangers… if anyone can help a little it will add up and I would be extremely grateful!!! I just want out sweet girl to be out of pain and on the road to recovery as soon as possible! Also I am asking for prayers for her! Thank you so much for reading this to the end and especially thank you if you are able help us out!
