Daisy Mae Medical Expenses

Last night, my two best friends Misty (MistyDawn_95) and Zach (HapticNoise) went through an extremely traumatic experience with their dog Daisy that would be any pet owner's worst nightmare. Daisy Mae had started throwing up 13 times over the span of a few hours, unable to keep food or liquid down. Zach and Misty quickly rushed her to the only medical personnel available on a Saturday night, which of course was a 24/7 emergency vet. These emergency clinics are known for their high costs due to the efficiency and accessibility that they provide. Later they learned that if they would have waited til Monday morning for their regular vet clinic to be open, it would have been too late. Zach and Misty made the right decision, as Daisy had gone through the trash can in the hours/days leading up to this event and had consumed the entirety of two whole tampons. When tampons come in contact with any liquid, they expand about 5x their original size, causing a severe blockage inside her stomach and small intestine. Daisy was administered into emergency surgery that night as immediate medical attention was necessary. The surgery was successful and she is now in recovery! As soon as the objects were removed things were already moving again, regaining color, and operating as normal. Miss Daisy Mae will remain in recovery at the ICU until Tuesday or Wednesday. However, due to the severity of the situation, this has left an extreme financial strain on both Misty and Zach. $7,000 is a lot of money for anyone to pay out of pocket with little to no preparation for such a catastrophic event.
