Hello, I'm Wesley, and I'm reaching out to you for help during a challenging time for our family. Our lives were turned upside down when our youngest daughter arrived six weeks early and was diagnosed with the rare and unpredictable disease, Beckwith-Wiedemann Syndrome (BWS).

Beckwith-Wiedemann Syndrome is a complex disorder that affects her growth and can lead to various complications, including an increased risk of childhood cancers like Wilms tumor and hepatoblastoma. It presents a wide spectrum of symptoms, and no two cases are exactly alike.

Our journey with BWS began with an emergency cesarean section, which led to my wife being flown from Williston to Bismarck, ND, for medical care. Our lives have since centered around Bismarck as my wife is unable to lift our 16-month-old daughter for six weeks. We need to be here for her, which means I can't work, and the future is filled with uncertainty.

To make matters more challenging, it seems we may need to transport our little one to Fargo, even farther from home, for specialized care. Our angel is going to require a lot of help on this journey, and we're determined to be there for her every step of the way.

The funds we're seeking will go toward medical expenses, potential home health nurse services, travel expenses between cities, accommodation, food, bills, and the many unexpected costs that lie ahead. At this moment, we're finding it difficult to ask for help, but we know it's necessary for the well-being of our daughter.
