Here's the skinny.  Daisy does not understand verbal output or tone,  the information she hears gets all jumbled in her brain which causes meltdowns and stress for everyone! The technology is you text from your phone into an Apple watch that she wears, she reads the directions and info and is able to understand it, process it and follow what is being asked of her, without hesitation.  

For example,  Daisy is not able to walk up and down stairs without fear,  pain and help hanging on to someone.  In one if our sessions with our OT, PT and Speech therapist we had a practice watch. We texted into the watch directions on how to do the steps without help. She read it on the watch and said "Ok" and was able to do it on her own! It was a struggle but she did it! (I've been trying to figure out how to upload video but can't figure it out through YouTube!) 

This will not only help our home life, but will help her at school especially.  Her school and special education program is so intrigued and excited about the possibilities for Daisy's education.  She struggles so bad at school and this will for sure help her in all relationships and education! 

Team Daisy and I have been trying for 6 months and jumping through hoops to try to get funding/grant money for the phone and watch with no luck because it is such a new way of thinking.  The thought never occurred to me to try this avenue until one of them suggested it to me today.  Daisy has multiple health issues on top of the autism and I am just so grateful that these 4 people...our OT, PT,  Speech and her special education teacher fell into our lap and have been trying so hard to help figure out how to afford this for us.  This technology/team has truly been a gift from God and will be a game changer for Daisy!
