Hi , I am writing this with a heavy Heart to share some difficult news. Our son name is Daison , he is 5 years old . Daison is such a Happy, funny, sweet loving little boy who instantly charms everyone he meets . He loves playing with his Dinosaurs and watching Dinoking.

How do we go from having a healthy child to having a child with a chronic illness. Allow me to share Daison story. On February 19th Daison life changed forever we took Daison to cooper hospital for stomach pain. The doctors did a X-ray of the stomach and explained to us that the X-ray came back abnormal and Daison liver was enlarged. The doctors wanted to do a echo of the heart . The heart echo showed that Daison Heart was also enlarged. They flew us out to Nemourse children Hospital. After arriving to Nemourse Hospital Doctors rushed us in and started putting IV’s in and hooking Daison up to heart monitors , Drawing blood and doing test after test and 1hr echos of the heart hourly Nonstop . On February 20th we found out that Daison has a heart condition called dilated cardiomyopathy-which is a disease of the heart muscle. It is a chronic and progressive disease In which the heart becomes enlarged causing the muscles to become weak and unable to pump blood strongly throughout the body . On February 24th The doctors did another echo of the heart and we found out that Daison left ventricle is deteriorated and they found a blood clot in the lower left ventricle as well The doctors started Daison on (heparin) a blood thinner.

February 28th things took a turn when a piece of the blood clot broke off and traveled to the brain causing him to have a stroke . Daison does not fully understand his condition. Daison is currently on a lot of heart medication to help him manage with everyday life activity .
