On December 6, 2018, the Province of Alberta charged Dave with three counts under the Dairy Industry Act of Alberta. Each count carries a maximum fine of $25 000 for a total of up to $75 000. Should the case proceed to trial, Dave's legal fees have been estimated at $50 000. This brings the estimated total up to $125 000.
Dave believes that Canadians have the right to make informed decisions when it comes to their diet and what they buy to feed their family.
