Dain's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
On May 25th at 7:00pm we received a call that we were never expecting nor prepared for. Dain was in a horrific motorcycle accident on Bunker and Martin in Andover, Minnesota. Dain was going to run to the store and decided to take his new motorcycle out for a ride, leaving the store heading home is when everything changed. A lady pulled out in front of him while he was going 55 miles per hour with zero time to hit the breaks. The lady that pulled directly out in front of him claims she did not see him. Dain went directly into the rear passenger side of the vehicle then was ejected from the motorcycle over the top of her car landing on the road 10 to 15 feet from his motorcycle. Many people were there to witness what had occurred and without hesitation ran to the scene to help Dain in any way they could. Dain and his family are thankful for all those who helped on the scene and prayed for him. Police arrived within a minute of the call being made, ambulance after within 5 minutes. They transferred Dain to Mercy Hospital.

He has a compound fracture on his left arm, where his bone was protruding out of the skin. X-rays showing us that his lower spine had been fractured on the vertebrae as well as broken lower ribs. His elbow and wrist are shattered on the same arm as the compound fracture. The pelvic bone being fractured caused internal bleeding throughout his body. When Dain was in the accident he held onto the handle bars and from the cause of impaction he torn his hand between his thumb and pointer finger down the middle which had to be stitched back together. He has staples in his head and cuts throughout his scalp as well as road rash throughout his body. The doctors are expecting him to have a slow and long recovery. Dain will be out of work and spending a lot of time at home, working to build his strength back and healing his broken bones. His other injuries are going to heal over time and physical therapy. It is an absolute miracle that he is alive and with us today.  Due to the accident we are not sure when Dain will be able to return to work, right now he can barely walk.

Afton, Dain's fiancé will be taking care of Dain as well as there two boys, Kash and Kaison while dealing with the struggles of having a limited income, dealing with hospital bills and lawyer fees. Dain is the main source of income for the family and during this traumatic time anything helps since we are not sure when he will be able to return. We are thankful for all of the prayers and help people have been willing to do. Dain is beyond lucky to be alive today and we praise god for watching over him and being his protector during this awful time. Again, thank you all for your support and prayers! The Campbell family could not get through this without your love and support. Dain is grateful to be alive today and thanks all those who helped him at the scene and have been praying for his recovery. Dain said he hopes to be able to thank those of you who helped him at the scene personally one day! At this point anything will help, we appreciate and thank all of you who do it does not go unrecognized, we could not get through this without you. We are beyond grateful that Dain is still with us.

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
