A couple of weeks ago a local veteran, SSgt. Rick Dailey USAF lost his home in a fire. Luckily he and his family were not home (wife, children & grandchildren), but several beloved pets perished in the fire.
He is having a hard time getting some much needed help with several things his insurance company will not cover the full cost of, that he needs done before he can get a new mobile home on his property. Currently he & his wife are living in a little camper on site, while his daughter and grandkids are in a motel. Others in the community came together to provide necessities, clothing, etc. until insurance money for those things were issued.
His insurance company will only cover up to $3,500 for demolition, but bids for this are anywhere from $8,000 to $10,000. Insurance will NOT cover the septic system problems. We have received an estimate for septic issue for $9,510.00.
