Help Daijah study abroad in Ghana, Africa!

Hi, my name is Daijah Thomasson and I am fundraising to travel abroad in Ghana. I recently got accepted into my University’s study abroad program. I am a Media Entrepreneurship major and multidisciplinary creative. Our coursework will focus on bridging the African Diaspora’s gap and understanding the economics of Ghana’s creative environment when it comes to film and entertainment. The students will have an opportunity to collaborate with the locals and well known filmmakers in the industry and learn the art of story telling and managing creative enterprises. This will be my first time ever traveling to Africa and I am a first generational child studying abroad in Ghana, as well as graduating college. This is not just about education, but the experience of understanding a new perspective as well as understanding the roots of my heritage and appreciating life’s beautiful moments in gratitude and fearlessness.
