Dahlya Geta Marie West: tragically taken by SIDS

My name is Dawn I am the founder of DAWNS House A nonprofit providing assistance in homelessness and substance abuse . Brittany And Austin came to us off the streets when she was six months pregnant. I could tell immediately that this couple was special and that they were focused, driven and determined to raise their baby happy and healthy. They both had quite a bit of recovery but had struggled with housing so we brought them in. It wasn’t long before I saw the passion they had for the work our nonprofit was doing. Quickly they were asked to become team members to run my entire emergency housing services department. Their daughter Dahlya was born on-site and was the jewel on our housing campus. A happy, healthy glowing baby girl. Brittnay and Austin were the absolute most loving dotting parents you could imagine. On 2/9/22 at 2am Brittnay woke to her 6 month old daughter cold and unresponsive. Immediately an ambulance was called and arrived within minutes but could not revive little Dahlya.

Dahlya was the victim of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. As you can imagine shock and grief has left the couple immobilized. We are trying to raise funds for this little angels funeral, prayers and donations would be extremely appreciated. Thank you DAWNS HOUSE team. Dawn Holland
