Dahlak Needs Support

We all know 2020 has been a difficult year and that is an understatement.
It has especially been an ongoing struggle as a small family owned restaurant. We are functioning at less than 50% of our normal capacity, we're only open for a fews days each week and it has been hard to transition to only offering outdoor dining and takeout. We miss our customers, live music and dance parties.
Although it's been difficult, we are blessed with good health and have been making do the best we can with the amazing support of our family, awesome staff, friends and loyal customers.
It is with great sadness that I must report that Dahlak was broken into on the night of November 4, 2020. The act was totally random and the person was quickly apprehended, but only after ravaging their way through our restaurant. We are so thankful that all of our family and staff are safe and were not present during the break in.

The person, for some unknown reason, targeted our family business. They were able to break in through a window in the backyard and took their time wrecking as much as they could once they got into the building. We are actually lucky to not have experienced more severe damages. Our biggest loss was having to close for a week to clean up and make repairs.

We, the Dahlak family, are humbly looking for the support of our community after this unfortunate event. It's already been so difficult and this random act of violence just rubbed salt onto our wound. We are looking for support to help cover the cost of repairing the broken windows, to cover the cost of cleanup and to cover the loss of income. We sincerely appreciate all of the support we receive.
We hope to be able to open again beginning November 12, 2020
Thank you for taking the time to read this information and we hope to see you soon at Dahlak.
Sincerely,
Dahlak Family
