Dagorhir Battle Games needs a new national website. It is imperative that Dagorhir has an inviting and informative website that will be both helpful to new members and encourage them to join, as well as supporting current members by providing a functional, searchable forum, and a central location for current events and pertinent information related to the game we know and love.

We want to create a site with lasting presence, polished appearance, and professional maintenance. In the past, our website was maintained through volunteer effort. This was sufficient for our needs at the time, but Dagorhir’s success in recent years means we’ve outgrown our current website and need to step up our online game.

To this end, we’re raising money to fund the NEW Dagorhir Battle Games website. It’s time to bring the dark ages into the modern world. But we need your help.

WHO IS DOING THIS?
While the content of the page itself will largely be user-driven, we will have a professional web development company that will be able to provide back-end support 24/7. This company will write, service, and troubleshoot a new website that can grow with us into the future. By hiring a professional design company, we ensure accountability in the product they deliver, and can pay to get exactly what we want, rather than relying on the charity of volunteers any time something needs to be changed.

HOW ARE THE FUNDS BEING HANDLED?
We have ensured the security and responsible management of donations by establishing a bank account, managed by the Dagorhir Battle Games Association President and Treasurer, with the Secretary providing oversight and ensuring transparency.

WHAT WEBSITE FEATURES SHOULD BE EXPECTED?
As with any fundraiser, the more money we are able to raise, the more we will be able to do with it.

SINGLE BLUE: $4,000
Gets us a fully mobile optimized website with the following features:
++Official Rules
The most current version of the official rules will be clearly posted on the official site, along with a change log and minutes from meetings in which they were changed.
++Unit Listings
Unit leaders will be able to upload their unit listings, practice times, and information.
++Forums
Fully searchable discussion forums for Dagorhir participants. Posts from the old website will be archived and accessible to view older content, and a threaded response system will be put in place. Special sections on the forums will be reserved for unit and chapter leaders, event coordinators, administrators, and other volunteers that go the extra mile to ensure Dagorhir runs smoothly for everyone.
++Tutorials
Users will be able to upload, edit, and share video and photographic tutorials.
++Vendors
Vendors from within the community will be able to promote their services and products right from the official page.

SWORD AND BOARD: $6,000
Everything from Single Blue, plus:
++Event Calendar
The calendar will be a searchable, Facebook-compatible tool, located on the front page of the new Dagorhir site. Event coordinators will be able to add events, which will automatically create an associated thread on the forums. Users with access to those events can edit, delete, and share events and practice information. Search criteria will include location, date, and distance from the user.

RED: $8,000
Everything from Single Blue and Sword and Board, plus:
++Enhanced Forums
Discussion forums will be expanded to "WarFace," a Dagorhir social media outlet with increased capabilities and features, including private messages, front page announcements, and in-depth individual user profiles.
++Event Preregistration
Users will be able to register for upcoming national Dagorhir events from a central, secure portal directly on the official site. Event coordinators will have the option to set up a prepayment option for their event.

THE FULL ARSENAL: $10,000
Everything from the previous goals, plus the creation of an online store to supplement future website maintenance costs. Users will be able to purchase hoodies, T-shirts, bumper stickers, and all manner of other Dag swag.

In Dagorhir, we have created a unique community where people of all stripes can find fun, friends, and acceptance. With arts and sciences, foam fighting, or even just a place around the campfire, there is a place for anyone and everyone at a Dagorhir event.
