Hello everyone first and foremost I would like to thank you for taking the time to read our story. May God Bless you and your loved ones. We never imagined we would be in this situation but God always has other plans. My name is Mari Tapia and I am reaching out to ask for your support. Our beautiful grandbaby Xara Amina Garza who is 2 months old will be having open heart surgery the first week of November. Xara was born with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) which is a hole in the wall that separates the two lower chambers of the heart. The complications of this has lead doctors to advise the family that the only course of action is surgery for baby. The family is grappling with a heavy and unforeseen financial strain. This is a blended family of 8 children and Mom and Dad. Unfortunately mom has had to leave her job to be the caregiver for baby Xara. One day before placing baby into daycare, Doctors advised that it was life threatening for her to attend , leaving mom no choice but to be out of work anywhere from 3 months to 1/2 a year. So we are asking for help with expenses during this time of hardship that we are experiencing. Mom and Dad will be traveling back and forth to tend to the rest of the children who range from 11 months to 13 years of age. We are a family of strong faith and have placed baby in God's hands and trust that we will get through this with the support of our family and friends.
